Registration

REGISTRATION:

Please contact GORGE Junior Sailing if you have any questions concerning age requirements, skill prerequisites or any other general questions/concerns. We strive to place our sailors in the classes where they will have fun and succeed!

Class Cancelations: All classes will be held at the scheduled time, rain or shine, heavy winds or no wind. If weather prevents sailing, instructors are trained in appropriate onshore instruction and activities. Classes will not be canceled or rescheduled due to weather. GJS reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of participants, and will attempt to place participants in an alternate class or, if unable, will issue a refund.

Expectations: GJS requires that our students are comfortable swimmers in the river and looking forward to the challenge of sailing. Intermediate classes and Advanced classes will sail outside of the marina. Please review the age and weight chart to ensure your sailor is within the correct weight range for the boat/class they are signed up for. Please email GJS if you have questions on what class your student should be placed in.

Waivers: After your registration is paid, you will receive a link via email to complete an e-signature for a Consent & Liability Waiver. Each child must have this complete to participate. If you are unsure about the status of your waiver, email: gorgejuniorsailing@gmail.com

CANCELLATION POLICY:

GORGE Junior Sailing requires payment in full in order to complete registration. Unfortunately, we do not offer prorated payments for partial class attendance. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and count on your registration to fund our operating costs and pay our instructors. We make exceptions for medical emergencies. A last minute vacation does not count as an emergency.

If you do need to cancel our policy is as follows:

  • Before 30 Days – Full Refund, minus a $20 processing fee
  • Before 15 days – 50% Refund
  • 15 days or less NO Refunds

GJS reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of participants, and will attempt to place participants in an alternate class or, if unable, will issue a refund.

Please notify GORGE Junior Sailing as soon as possible if you need to cancel your class for any reason.

Make a Donation

Donations to Gorge Junior Sailing are graciously accepted at anytime. Your donation is tax deductible and your receipt will be mailed to you. Your donation will be used directly to repair and replace sailboats, maintain coach boats and maintain our docks. Maintaining and repairing our equipment is an expensive yearly expense. Keeping these expenses low allows our program to offer the highest quality of instruction with low tuition rates. Please visit our donation page for more information.

We can’t thank you enough for your support!
